Laura Dorcas was born on January 12th, 1868 in Montezuma, Poweshiek Co., Iowa.1 Laura Dorcas' father was Thomas Bosley GORSUCH and her mother was Margaret Ann MURROW. Her maternal grandparents were Benjamin Lewis MURROW and Sarah BLUE. She had four brothers and four sisters, named David, John Joshua, Daniel Thomas, Charles Wesley, Martha Ellen, Sarah Elizabeth, Rebecca Emeline and Verna Edith. She was the third youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 74 on November 9th, 1942 in Montezuma, Poweshiek Co., Iowa.1 General Notes
