Vertie Belle was born on March 19th, 1882 in North Carolina, United States. Vertie Belle's father was Brainard Taylor Foster and her mother was Elizabeth Ann Frye. Her paternal grandparents were William M Foster and Emeline Potts. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Romulus Alvin, William Anderson, Tennie E. and Minnie Pantha. She was the oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 46 on October 7th, 1928 in Old Richmond, Forsyth, North Carolina.-
