Martha A. was born on August 13th, 1853 in Ozark County, Missouri. Martha A.'s father was Jacob Virden Foster and her mother was Sally Ann "Sally " Sanders. Her paternal grandparents were Micajah Harris Foster and Sally Verden. She had seven brothers and five sisters, named Micajah Lafayette, Thomas A., Stephen S., Joseph Franklin, John Humble, Samuel Bartlett, Benjamin B., James High, Jane P., Ibbie L, Mary Elizabeth and Sarah Eliza. She was the oldest of the thirteen children. She died in Independance, LeFlore County, Oklahoma, United States.-
