His paternal grandparents were Robert Dudley Foster and Elizabeth Mitchell. He had two brothers named Thomas Lawrence and Willard Robert. He was the youngest of the three children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Knox, Dudley Ross, Sydna Elizabeth and Mary Josephine. He died at the age of 91 on January 8th, 1975 in Olympia, Washington, USA.-
