Cecil D. was born in 1906 in Glasgow, Barren Co., KY, US.1 Cecil D.'s father was James Edward Foster and his mother was Bedie Gassaway. His paternal grandparents were George Henry Foster and Sarah Ann Elizabeth Gray. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Roger H, Eugene "Gene", Almond, Lucille W, May and Ida. He was the second youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 32 on July 23rd, 1938 in Glasgow, Barren Co., KY, US. He was buried in July 1938 in Beech Grove Church Cemetery,Barren Co Kentucky.-
