William Dye 
William was born on September 20th, 1814 in Mercer Co. KY.1 William's father was Shippe Allen Dye and his mother was Elizabeth Goodnight. His paternal grandparents were Avery Dye and Sarah "Sally" Puckett. He had four brothers and a sister, named John, Henry, Jacob Goodnight, Isaac C. and Sarah Bellows. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 67 on September 26th, 1881.General Notes
