Lorette was born in 1212 in Chilham Castle, Kent, England.1 Lorette's father was Baron of Chilton Richard Fitzroy and her mother was Rohese Dover. Her paternal grandparents were King of England John (Lackland) Plantagenet of England and Suzanne de Warenne; her maternal grandparents were Fulbert de Douvres III and Isabel de Briwere. She had a brother and two sisters, named Richard, Margaret and Isabel. She was the oldest of the four children.-
