John S. DAVIS 
John S. was born on January 13th, 1833 in Alabama. John S.'s father was James DAVIS and his mother was Rutha STAPLER. His maternal grandparents were John S. STAPLER and Ann NORMAN. He had two brothers and four sisters, named James B., David D., Sarah Elizabeth, Mary C., Martha A. and Rutha. He was the oldest of the seven children.
