C. A. was born on August 10th, 1884 in Carroll Co, TN.1 C. A.'s father was Felix Monroe Abner Cary and his mother was Eliza E. Boyd. His paternal grandparents were Abner Henry Harrison Cary and Mary Ann Elizabeth Haywood. He had a brother and a sister, named James Azro and Azalee E.. He was the oldest of the three children. He had five half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Richard Frank, William Felix, Ether Lee, Hubert H., Leonard Ray, Eary Lee, Vera and Effie.1 General Notes
