William Carter

William was born in 1634 in Barford, Bedford, England and his christening took place there on August 31st, 1634.¹ William's father was William Anscell Carter and his mother was Mary Anne Emmery. His paternal grandparents were William Carter Jr. and Mary Anscell; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Emmery and <Unknown>. He had a brother and two sisters, named Thomas, Anne and Elizabeth. He was the second youngest of the four children.
