Sarah CLEMENT 
Sarah was born in 1830 in AR. Sarah's father was William Wesley CLEMENT and her mother was Elizabeth SKAGGS. Her maternal grandparents were Henry SKAGGS and Elizabeth NOBLETT. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Andrew, Abraham, Hiram Harvey, William, Ellen, Lydia and Serena. She was the oldest of the eight children. She died after 1850.General Notes
Sarah was 19 years old when her mother died. She was the oldest ofeight children that ranged in age from 4 months to her nineteen years.She undoubtly had a great responsibilty helping her father care forthe smaller children.
Between 1850 and 1853 the family moved from Madison Co. AR to LamarCo. TX and all of the children can be found in Lamar Co. TX on the1860 Census except for Sarah and her youngest sister, Serena. It isbelieved that Serena, who was a newborn when her mother died in1850,also died soon after her mother. As for Sarah, it is a mystery. Shedoes not show up in Texas with the rest of her family at any time overthe next 20 years. She either married and stayed in Arkansas, or diedbefore 1860.
