James Bell 
James was born about 1806 in Long Glade, Augusta County, Virginia. James' father was Thomas Bell and his mother was Rebecca Robertson. His maternal grandparents were James Robertson and Margaret Poage. He had two brothers and a sister, named Alexander Robertson, Samuel and Margaret Poage.General Notes
