William Cicero Beatty 
William was born on February 28th, 1863 in Grayson Co., Kentucky.1 William's father was Miles Marian Beatty and his mother was Lydia Berry Conklin. His paternal grandparents were John P. Beatty and Elmina McGrew; his maternal grandparents were David Conklin and Lydia Cunningham. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Herbert, James, Thomas, Henry, Mattie, Cinderella and Nancy. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Miles and Clara.-
