James BROWNING 
James was born in 1769 in Culpeper Co., VA.. James' father was Joshua BROWNING Sr. and his mother was Nancy Anne SCOTT. His paternal grandparents were John Browning and Elizabeth DEMAREST. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, Edmund Woodville, Jacob, John, Hannah, Annie, Mary Malinda and Jennie. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Joshua R., John, Anne, Mary, Margaret and Nancy. He died at the age of 54 in 1823 in Bourbon Co., KY..General Notes
