Ida Lee was born on February 18th, 1887 in Cleveland Co, NC.1   Ida Lee's father was John Elgin Roberts and her mother was Mary Jane Ware.  Her paternal grandparents were John W. Roberts and Judith Clement. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Thomas Franklin, S. Lester, Zeb B. Vance, John Ellis, Georgeanna, Laura, Mary Elizabeth and Sudie.  She was the youngest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 69 on August 30th, 1956 in Shelby, Cleveland Co, NC.  She was buried on August 31st, 1956 in Elizabeth Baptist Cemetery, Cleveland Co, NC.1
