Jesse May Nance

Jesse May was born on March 19th, 1901 in Rockingham Co, NC.¹ Jesse May's father was Addison Toplady Nance and her mother was Mary A. Cobb. Her paternal grandparents were Fountaine Nance and Jemina Vincent Grant. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Samuel Fountain, Ashley Johnson, James Crawford, George Lindsey, Archibald Addison 'Archie', Delaware W. 'Dell', Mary Belle, Maggie Lou and Mattie Matilda. She was the youngest of the ten children. She died at the age of 2 on July 19th, 1903 in Rockingham Co, NC.¹
