Peter Roels 
Peter was born on January 5th, 1870 in Netherlands.1 Peter's father was Pieter Roels and his mother was Adriana Brandt. His maternal grandparents were Adrian Brandt and Marie Zoetwyk. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Hendrick "Hank", Marinus "Frank", Katherine, Dena, Mary, Elizabeth and Infant. He died at the age of 94 in August 1964 in Holland, Michigan.1 General Notes

Peter Roels may have been born 1\5\1870 - 1871? He married Dina, Dena, Diena Nagelkerk. Their only child was John Roels who married Barbara "Bertha" Kloosterman and then Henrietta Schaddalee.
John Roels wrote that the great-grandfather had to flee from the South of the Netherlands into Zeeland, Netherlands. They had to cross a river and barely made it. There are Roels in Belguim, too. Peter was a furniture factory worker in the Netherlands. He was a furniture "rubber" probably meaning he polished furniture.
Peter Roels immigrated in 1892 and became a U.S. citizen in 1900.
