George Ray

George was born on July 17th, 1772.¹   George's father was John Ray and his mother was Sarah Miller.  His maternal grandparents were George Miller and Mary Comb. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Joseph, James, John, David, Margaret, Jane, Sally, Susan and Lydia B..  He was the fifth oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 42 in 1814 in Orange Co., N. C..¹
