Jane was born on April 17th, 1825 in Screven Co., GA.1   Jane's father was James Parker and her mother was Elizabeth Sasser.  Her maternal grandparents were Thomas Sasser and Clarisy. She had eight brothers and nine sisters, named James, John, Thomas, Lemuel, Matthew, Hardy C., Henry, Benjamin, Catharine, Clarissa, Jemima, Tabitha, Mary Ann, Eliza, Elizabeth, Cinthey and Sarah.  She died at the age of 70 on June 12th, 1895.1
