Catharine was born about 1813 in Screven Co., GA.1   Catharine's father was James Parker and her mother was Elizabeth Sasser.  Her maternal grandparents were Thomas Sasser and Clarisy. She had eight brothers and nine sisters, named James, John, Thomas, Lemuel, Matthew, Hardy C., Henry, Benjamin, Clarissa, Jemima, Tabitha, Jane, Mary Ann, Eliza, Elizabeth, Cinthey and Sarah.  She died about 1840.1
