Mary Ann was born in 1812.1   Mary Ann's father was John Nash and her mother was Abigail Kingsley.  Her paternal grandparents were John Nash and Martha Graves. She had a brother and a sister, named Russell M. and Sophronia.  She was the second oldest of the three children. She had seven half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Ansel, Lyman, Russell, Hart, John Hart, Almerin, Maltby, Clarissa and Martha.1
