Lydia was born in 1817.1   Lydia's father was Rueben Nash and her mother was Nancy Tinkelpaugh.  Her paternal grandparents were Rueben Nash and Lydia Edwards. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Rueben, Adam, John, Hiram, Mary Ann, Harriet, Nancy and Marietta.  She was the third oldest of the nine children.1
