William was born about 1844.1   William's father was Joseph Lozon and his mother was Nancy Pelotte. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Joseph, Pierre, Alexander, Gabriel, Edmond, Madeline, Mary Louise, Elizabeth, Eliza and Chistine.  He was the second youngest of the eleven children.1
