Maxie's father was Henry Holland and her mother was Julia Anderson. Her paternal grandparents were John Holland and Venie Parrish. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Grady, Ivy, Henry, Charlie, Lester, Lucile, Venie Mae, Vera and Florrie.-
