John Holcome 
John was born in 1546 in Banscombe.1 John's father was Ellis Holcombe and his mother was Elizabeth Sydenham. His paternal grandparents were Charles Holcombe and Jane Holcombe; his maternal grandfather was Thomas Sydenham. He had six brothers and a sister, named Tristram, Nicholas, Thomas, Robert, George, Walter and Jane. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children.1 -
