Mary was born on October 31st, 1673.1   Mary's father was Samuel Dalton and her mother was Mehitabel Palmer.  Her paternal grandparents were Philemon Dalton and Dorothy; her maternal grandfather was Henry Palmer. She had six brothers and five sisters, named Samuel, Philemon, John, Caleb, Joseph, Timothy, Mehitable, Abigail, Dorothy, Elizabeth and Hannah.1
