Johanna was born on August 12th, 1854.1   Johanna's father was Charles Bloomer and her mother was Catherine O'Halleran. She had four brothers and seven sisters, named James, Charles, Edward, John, Julia, Ellen, Mary (Mayme), Kate, Martha, Elizabeth and Hattie.  She was the oldest of the twelve children.1
