Friedrich Wilhelm III Koenig was born in 1770 in Potsdam, Germany. Friedrich Wilhelm III Koenig's father was Friedrich Wilhelm II Koenig von Preussen and his mother was Frederica von Hessen-Darmstadt. His paternal grandparents were Augustus William and Louise von Brunswick; his maternal grandparents were Ludwig lX von Hessen-Darmstadt and Karoline Palatine von Zweibruecken-Birkenfeld. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Louis, Charles, Wilhelm, Son, Christine and Wilhelmina. He had a half-sister named Frederica Charlotte. He died at the age of 70 in 1840.-
