Ludwig IV von Hessen 
Ludwig IV was born in 1837. Ludwig IV's father was Karl Prinz von Hessen and his mother was Elizabeth Prinzessin von Preussen. His paternal grandparents were Ludwig II von Hessen und dem Rhein and Wilhelmina von Baden; his maternal grandfather was William von Preussen. He had two brothers and a sister, named Heinrich, Wilhelm and Anna. He was the oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 55 in 1892.
