Ludwig von Hessen 
Ludwig was born in 1686. Ludwig's father was Karl von Hessen-Kassel and his mother was Maria Amalia Kettler von Kurland. His paternal grandparents were Wilhelm Vl von Hessen-Kassel and Hedwig Sophie von Brandenburg. He had nine brothers and four sisters, named Wilhelm, Karl, Friedrich l, Christian, Karl, Wilhelm Vlll, Leopold, Maximilian, Georg, Sofie, Marie Luise, Eleonore and Wilhelmine Charlotte. He was the sixth youngest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 20 in 1706.
