Arnold (Arnaud) was born about 1019 in Of, Angouleme, Charente, France.1 Arnold (Arnaud)'s father was Geoffrey Taillefer and his mother was Petronille De Archaic. His paternal grandparents were Guillaume Taillefer and Gerberga von Anjou; his maternal grandparents were Mainard (Le Riche) Archaic and Hildegarde. He had four brothers and a sister, named Foulques, Geoffrey, Guillaume, Aymar (Ademar) and Humberge. He was the third oldest of the six children.1 -
