Mary E. was born on January 21st, 1833 in OH.1 Mary E.'s father was Luther Slayton and her mother was Almina Preston. Her paternal grandparents were Phineas Slayton and Experience Gleeson. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Daniel W., George W., Phineas, Robert O., Laura and Malinda. She was the third oldest of the seven children.1 -
