Catherine was born about 1440 in Of, Laughton, Sussex, England.1 Catherine's father was John Pelham and her mother was Joan De Courcy. Her paternal grandparents were John Pelham and Joan Escures. She had three brothers and two sisters, named John, William, Thomas, Cicelia and Joan. She was the oldest of the six children.1 -
