William Jefferson Childress 
William Jefferson was born on August 10th, 1843.1 William Jefferson's father was Thomas Jefferson Childress and his mother was Hannah Molly Arnold. His paternal grandparents were Fleming Childress and Elizabeth Boyd; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Arnold and Sallie Matthews. He had a brother and six sisters, named James Luther, Martha Ann, Sarah Elizabeth, Mildred Adams, Mary White, Eliza Jane and Katherine. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 1 on November 10th, 1844.1 -
