Jan van Egmond 
Jan was born about 1287 in Slot Hoef, Egmond-Binnen, Noord Holland, Netherlands. Jan's father was Gerand van Egmond and his mother was Elisabeth van Strijen. His paternal grandparents were Willem II Heer van Egmond and UNKNOWN ?. He had three brothers and a sister, named Willem III, Wouter II Heer, Claes and Aleijd. He was the second youngest of the five children. He died on October 31st, 1312.-
