Walter De was born about 1332.  Walter De's father was William De La Pole and his mother was Katherine De Norwich.  His maternal grandparents are Walter De Norwich and Katherine Hedersett. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Michael De, Thomas De, Edmund De, Margaret De, Blanche De and Catherine De.  He is the fourth oldest of the seven children.
