James Kennedy 
James was born in 1376 in Cassillis House, Maybole, Ayrshire, Scotland. James' father was Gilbert Kennedy and his mother is Agnes Maxwell. His paternal grandfather was John Kennedy and his paternal grandmother is Mary Montgomery; his maternal grandfather was John Maxwell and his maternal grandmother is Isabel Lindsay. He had six brothers named Gilbert, John, Alexander, Hugh, Thomas and David. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 61 in 1437 in Scotland.General Notes

James was killed by his disinherited brother Gilbert. It is said that Jam
es was made heir over his older brother, Gilbert, because of his royal mar
riage.
