Margery De Braose 
Margery was born about 1177 in Abergavenny, Wales. Margery's father was William De Braose and her mother was Maud De Saint Valery. Her paternal grandfather was William De Braose and her paternal grandmother is Bertha De Pitres of Gloucester; her maternal grandparents are Bernald IV De Saint Valery and Eleanor De la Haye. She had four brothers and four sisters, named William, Reginald, Giles, John, Maud, Eleanor, Loretta and Annora. She is the third oldest of the nine children.General Notes

nts and brother on land donated by King John at Aconbury in Herefordshir
e, near the village of Holme Lacy. She was buried there in the Priory Chur
