Martha was born about 1569 in Wilcot Parish, England.  Martha's father was Nicholas Chandler and her mother was Edyth Spratt.  Her paternal grandfather is John Chandler. She had three brothers and two sisters, named John, Thomas, Swithin, Margaret and Alice.  She is the third youngest of the six children.
