Anne was born in 1533 in Woore, Shropshire, England. Anne's father was Thomas Bulkeley and her mother was Elizabeth Grosvenor. Her paternal grandfather was William Bulkeley; her maternal grandparents were Randall Grosvenor and Ann Charlton.
