Nathaniel Ayer 
Nathaniel was born in 1638 in Salisbury, MA. Nathaniel's father was John Ayer and his mother was Hannah Everard. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Eyre and Elizabeth Rogers; his maternal grandparents were John Evered and Mary Richmond-Webb. He had four brothers and four sisters, named John, Robert, Cornet Peter, Obediah, Sarah, Rebecca, Susanah and Hannah. He was the second youngest of the nine children.
