John Ayer 
John was born in 1617 in Highworth, Wiltshire, England. John's father was John Ayer and his mother was Hannah Everard. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Eyre and Elizabeth Rogers; his maternal grandparents were John Evered and Mary Richmond-Webb. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Robert, Cornet Peter, Obediah, Nathaniel, Sarah, Rebecca, Susanah and Hannah. He was the oldest of the nine children.
