Jaime I of was born on February 1st, 1207 in Montpellier, Herault, France.  Jaime I of's father was Pedro II of Aragon and his mother was Maria De Montpellier.  His paternal grandparents were Alfonso I of Aragon and Sancha of Castile; his maternal grandparents were Guillaume VIII De Montpellier and Eudoxia Comnenus. He had a sister named Sancha of.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died at the age of 69 on July 27th, 1276 in Valencia, Valencia, Spain.  He was buried in Monasterio De Poblet, Tarragona, Spain.
