Joane was born about 1348 in Arundel, Essex, England, England. Joane's father was Richard FitzAlan and her mother was Eleanor Plantagenet. Her paternal grandparents were Edmund Fitzalan and Alice De Warren; her maternal grandparents were Henry De Lancaster and Maud De Chaworth. She had two brothers and a sister, named Richard, John and Alice. She was the second oldest of the four children. She had a half-sister named Isabel (Mary). She died on April 7th, 1419 in , Saffran Walden, Essex, England. She was buried in Walden Abbey.General Notes
