Hepzibah was born on October 13th, 1804 in New Hampshire. Hepzibah's father was Hezadiah Woodbury and her mother was Hepsebeth Colby. Her maternal grandparents were Willoughby Colby and Sarah Sargent. She had seven brothers and six sisters, named James, Hezediah, Amos, Gilman, Lyman, Moses Webster, Alfred, Sally, Miriam, Hepzibah, Jane, Miriam and Lydia P.. She is the sixth youngest of the fourteen children.-
