Robert Deforest was born on November 24th, 1921 in Corning, Steuben, New York. Robert Deforest's father was Herman H Stratton and his mother was Mabel Grace May Whitney. His maternal grandparents were James Lewis Whitney and Flora A Chase. He had three brothers named Arthur, Gerald Leonard and Leon Herman. He was the oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 76 on March 30th, 1998 in Naylor, Georgia.-
