Mary Lucinda was born on May 21st, 1842 in Dayton, Cattaragus County N.Y.. Mary Lucinda's father was William Bowron Southwick and her mother was Maria Rideout. Her paternal grandparents were Jr. Southwick George and Jane Bowron. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Henry Green, Ezra Alvin, Jane Bowron, Clarinda Hibbard, Esther Fidelia, Emily Miranda and Julia Francelia. She is the third oldest of the eight children.-
