Jr. Southwick was born on September 21st, 1780 in Smithfield, Providence County, Rhode Island. Jr. Southwick's father was George Southwick and his mother was Lydia Sargent. His maternal grandfather was Richard Sargent and his maternal grandmother is Lydia Boyce. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Royal, Jonathan, Enos, Job, Jane, Lydia, Hannah and Phoebe. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 97 in June 1878 in Randolph, Crawford County PA..General Notes
