Lucinda was born in Thornton, New Hampshire. Lucinda's father was Philip Sargent and her mother was Lucinda Bancroft. Her paternal grandparents were Abel Sargent and Sarah Hadley. She had eight brothers and two sisters, named Seneca, Philip, David Flint, Abel, William, Lewis, Moses, Elbridge Gerry, Betsey and Clarissa. She died in 1898.-
