Julia Rebecca was born in 1849 in Springville, Utah, Utah. Julia Rebecca's father was Lauren Hotchkiss Roundy and her mother was Jane Ann Koyle. Her paternal grandparents were Shadrack Roundy and Betsey Quimby. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Jared Washington, Lauren, Hyrum Koyle, John, Charles, Laurette and Lillian Jane. She is the oldest of the eight children. She has three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Byron Donalvin, William Heber, Adelbert, Luella, Mary Ann and Zuella.-
